The Treo Eile Online Summer Sale
For named thoroughbreds registered with Treo Eile who have a Weatherbys or equivalent passport. Tattersalls/Treo Eile has the discretion to accept or refuse an entry without explanation. Treo Eile will supply all pre-sale support to vendors.
Entry Requirements
Minimum entry requirements that horses must have:
Performance record of a double-clear round at 90cm or above in SJI competition in 2026.
Or
Performance record of a finishing score of less than 38 penalties at EI90 or above in EI competition in 2026.
Or
Performance record of a clear round at Novice level (80-90cm) or above in Working Hunter Classes in 2026.
Or
Performance record of >60% at Novice Level on one occasion in Dressage Ireland Competitions in 2026.
Or
Performance record of a top 6 placing in Racehorse to Riding Horse Show Class in 2026.
Key Dates
Entries close Monday 6th July at 5pm. Horses must have qualified at this stage (unless wildcard entry).
Photos/videos to be submitted by 5pm Friday 10th July.
Catalogue published Tuesday 14th July.
Wildcard entry deadline by 5pm Monday 20th July.
Veterinary certs and health certs to be submitted by 5pm Thursday 23rd July (vetting to be carried out within 14 days of the sale).
Sale entries may compete in show classes demonstrating their abilities.
Designated practice/inspection area made available onsite for sale entries.
€5,000 shared bonus offered to sale graduates if they win any of the following in 2027 (bonus to be shared out at the end of the 2027 season):
Eventing: Thoroughbred Challenge at Ballindenisk
Showjumping: Thoroughbred 1.00m class at Tattersalls July Show
Dressage: Dressage Ireland National Championships at Novice Level – top 3 placing.
Working Hunter: Open Thoroughbred Performance Class at Tattersalls July Show
Showing: Open Showing pathway final at Tattersalls July show
An entry fee of £160 + VAT applies for all entries. For lots withdrawn after the catalogue is published, a withdrawal fee of £200 will be charged unless a veterinary certificate was provided confirming a lot is not fit for sale. The auction will be conducted in guineas with Euro conversion on display during bidding. Vendor commission of 5% applies on sold lots. No commission charged on lots not sold.

Online Catalogue to be published on the Tattersalls Online website Tuesday 14th July. Direct links to the sale will also be available on the Treo Eile website.
Veterinary Requirements
All lots must complete a pre-sale five-stage veterinary examination within 14 days prior to the sale, arranged at the cost of the vendor. Horses should be vetted for Showjumping/Eventing or Dressage/Showing, depending on how they qualify.
Pre-sale vetting is recommended to be completed by a member of the Treo Eile approved vets panel (TBA).
Influenza Vaccination requirements as per sport horse industry standards (primary course and annual booster) are required.
Vendors may submit pre-sale X-rays/Video Scopes to the repository but it is not mandatory.
All lots will be sold subject to re-examination and/or blood testing, at the discretion of the purchaser, in accordance with current procedures outlined in the Online Conditions of Sale. The intention to have a post-sale vetting and/or blood sample must be communicated to Tattersalls within 24 hours and carried out within 48 hours of the sale.
Post-sale blood samples, at the cost of the purchaser, may be taken within 48 hours of the sale and submitted for testing in accordance with Online Conditions of Sale procedures for NSAIDS, analgesics and sedatives – 4 green top tubes to be sent to the Irish Equine Centre by the post-sale vet. Vendor pack will include 4 blood sampling tubes and a submission form. Post-sale blood samples, if taken, must be tested immediately for prohibited substances at the IEC rather than stored.
7-Day return period for vices in accordance with the Online Conditions of Sale.
Professional photography and video for every lot will be arranged by Treo Eile. All media must be completed before catalogue publication. Conformation footage for each lot will be mandatory, ridden footage strongly recommended.

All lots are subject to Tattersalls Online Conditions of Sale and are sold as horses in training.
