River In Paradise Sells for 100,000 Guineas in Tattersalls Online June Pop-Up Sale 

Impressive debut winner and Royal Ascot prospect RIVER IN PARADISE realised 100,000 guineas when knocked down to bloodstock agent Shawn Dugan and Navrick International in the Tattersalls Online June Pop-Up Sale.

Consigned by Robert Edwards’ Uplands Stables, the daughter of LOPE Y FERNANDEZ was offered with an entry to the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes following an eye-catching debut success in a six-furlong fillies’ maiden at Lingfield on 4 June. 

Bidding from Chantilly, Shawn Dugan and Laura de Seroux were delighted to secure the filly who presented as a juvenile with immediate racing appeal. Speaking on behalf of the new connections, Shawn Dugan said:

“We are really excited. Marsha Naify is in England attending Royal Ascot and was alerted to this filly being in the Tattersalls Online sale. We all know how quickly these maiden winners go and they are very highly sought after in the States, both in California and on the East coast. We decided after reviewing all the professional and amazing information that was provided to us by Tattersalls, that she was worth pursuing. Robert Edwards was also very helpful in giving us all the information he had on the filly so we felt confident. The process was seamless.”

Having originally purchased the filly as a yearling at the Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale for 10,000 guineas, Robert Edwards was thrilled with the result and commented afterwards:

“I thought the concept was a great idea and I said, why not, let’s give it a go. Tattersalls have been incredibly helpful, steering me through the whole process. There has been extensive promotion of the sale across social media which has been great and, all in all we are very happy.”

The Tattersalls Online June Pop-Up Sale once again demonstrated both the efficiency of the platform and the strength of demand for high-quality young racing prospects, with RIVER IN PARADISE becoming the latest notable graduate of the format.
