100% Clearance Rate Achieved for Tattersalls Online Emirates Racing Authority Jebel Ali Online Sale

All 30 lots offered in the Tattersalls Online Emirates Racing Authority Jebel Ali Online Sale sold for an aggregate of 2,420,300 AED, led by MAWHOOB who was purchased for 320,000 AED by Sayed Hashish.

The third auction hosted by Tattersalls Online on behalf of the Emirates Racing Authority (ERA), the catalogue featured a draft consigned exclusively by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Jebel Ali Stables in Dubai. Over 90 registered bidders from 10 countries competed strongly throughout the auction, resulting in a 100 per cent clearance rate.

Heading the market at 320,000 AED was MAWHOOB, already a dual winner in the United Arab Emirates, who most recently enjoyed victory over a mile at Jebel Ali in March. The four-year-old son of WAR OF WILL carried a current ERA rating of 85 and is one of four winners out of the Grade 3 placed mare LA SONG.

Demand remained strong throughout the sale, with eight lots selling in excess of 100,000 AED and three surpassing the 250,000 AED mark. Among them were three-time winner MONFRID who sold for 260,000 AED to Fahad Hajed W Alawni and the talented sprinter MA YETAL, who was knocked down to Ahmad bin Harmash for 250,000 AED.

The result continues the momentum generated by the successful series of ERA sales conducted on the Tattersalls Online platform to date. Following today’s auction, Tattersalls Online Sales Manager Katherine Sheridan commented:

“The Emirates Racing Authority Jebel Ali Online Sale produced another excellent set of results, with all 30 lots changing hands and competitive bidding evident throughout the auction. Achieving a 100 per cent clearance rate is a strong endorsement of both the quality of the horses offered, as well as the reach and efficiency of the Tattersalls Online platform. We are grateful to His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Jebel Ali Stables and the Emirates Racing Authority for their support and look forward to building on the success of this partnership in the future.”

Samuel Shinksky, Head of Integrity and Regulations at the Emirates Racing Authority added:

“We would like to thank Jebel Ali Stables for entrusting the Emirates Racing Authority with the sale of their horses. The catalogue attracted strong interest from buyers, reflecting the calibre of the horses offered. We wish all purchasers the very best with their new acquisitions and look forward to seeing many of these horses compete successfully during the upcoming UAE racing season.”
