Siyouni Stallion Share Heads Catalogue of 126 Lots in Tattersalls Online December Sale 

A stallion share in leading European sire SIYOUNI headlines the entries for the Tattersalls Online December Sale which takes place on 10^th – 11^th December. The catalogue, which is now available to view at www.tattersallsonline.com, comprises 127 lots and includes 55 horses in and out of training, 20 foals, 19 broodmares, 18 yearlings, 6 Breeding Rights, 4 stores, 2 point-to-pointers and 2 stallion shares. 

The sale presents a rare opportunity to invest in the Aga Khan Stud’s Champion sire SIYOUNI. Boasting more Guineas winners than any other active stallion, he is the sire of 46 Group winners and his leading progeny is highlighted by the likes of ST MARK’S BASILICA, PADDINGTON, LAURENS and SOTTSASS. The Haras de Bonneval resident will stand at a fee of €150,000 in 2026. The shareholder will receive one nomination to the stallion in 2026, two nominations in 2027 and in every other year thereafter.  

Also on offer is a Breeding Right to Darley’s exciting young sire PALACE PIER whose first crop of runners have made a big impression providing the likes of Group 2 Lowther Stakes winner ROYAL FIXATION and Group 3 winners DR OMRAN and A BIT OF SPIRIT. Meanwhile other stallion investment opportunities include breeding rights to A’ALI, EL CABALLO, LOPE Y FERNANDEZ, SERGEI PROKOFIEV, SPACE BLUES as well as a stallion share in Yeomanstown Stud’s SUPREMACY.

Elsewhere, a host of proven flat and national hunt performers are also on offer including Grade 2 novice placed BOLD LIGHT consigned by Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore’s Arlary House Stables. A three-time winner over hurdles, the son of LEADING LIGHT carries a current BHA hurdles rating of 126.

A pair of promising point-to-pointers are set to feature including five-year-old mare LARGY ROSE who ran a mighty race on debut at Kirkistown to finish second for leading handler Stuart Crawford. The daughter of SOLDIER OF FORTUNE is a half-sister to Grade 3 hurdle winner LARGY HILL and is a close relation to multiple Grade 1 winner OUR VIC. Also on offer is recent Kirkistown winner FANE COURT who stayed on impressively to win for trainer Craig Kileff. 

Likely to prove popular are the unraced pair ARCTIC CIRCLE and LIGHTNING RAID. The former is a colt by FRANKEL out of Group 1 Coronation Stakes winner ALPINE STAR while the latter is a three-year-old-colt by NIGHT OF THUNDER out of Listed winner FASHION QUEEN and is a half-brother to dual Listed winner NOBLE TITLE. 

Highlights of the broodmare section of the catalogue include the Silfield Bloodstock consigned PIVOTAL mare UPSTANDING who is the dam of three winners to date and is a sibling to Group 1 Lockinge Stakes winner VIRTUAL and Group 2 Coventry Stakes winner ICEMAN. She is being offered in foal to SHAQUILLE whose first foals achieved a top price of 210,000 guineas at the recent Tattersalls December Foal Sale. Another attractive breeding prospect is DAZZLING BEAUTY from Flintstone Stud. The well-bred daughter of DUBAWI recently had a colt foal by CHALDEAN realise 75,000 guineas at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale and is being offering in foal to triple Group 1 winner PINATUBO. 

The 18 yearlings in the sale include youngsters by INVINCIBLE SPIRIT, NO NAY NEVER and PALACE PIER whilst the 20 foals catalogued include progeny by the likes of CATURRA, MOSTAHDAF and SERGEI PROKOFIEV. The four stores listed for auction are by CRYSTAL OCEAN, FRAMMASSONE, JACK HOBBS and SOGANN.

The Tattersalls Online December Sale has received support from 92 individual consignors from Great Britain, Ireland and France including drafts from Alne Park Stud, Baroda Stud, Culworth Grounds Farm, Dylan Cunha, Ecurie Sogorb, Ed Dunlop, EMW Equine, Far Westfield Farm, Gary & Josh Moore, Gainsborough Thoroughbreds, Genesis Green Stud, George Boughey, Houghton Bloodstock, Hugo Palmer, James Ferguson, James Owen, Jessica Harrington, Michael Bell, Mickley Stud, Robert Cowell and Shadwell Estate Company.
