Jet Powered Flies home in the National Hunt Maiden Hurdle at Newbury

JET POWERED soared to victory on debut under rules in the Coral Bet Bundles ‘National Hunt’ Maiden Hurdle at Newbury.

Displaying all the attributes of a top-class performer, JET POWERED travelled with ease and jumped for fun. The son of JET AWAY cleared away from his rivals after the second last and won by 11 lengths eased down at the line.

Trained by Nicky Henderson, JET POWERED was purchased by Highflyer Bloodstock for 350,000 guineas in the Tattersalls Online National Hunt and P2P Sale held in December 2021. Offered by Leamore Horses, he had been hugely impressive in his Point-to-Point debut in the Four-Year-Old Geldings Maiden at Borris House last year. Having impressed with today’s win, the son of JET AWAY is now a clear second favourite for the Supreme Novice Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in 2023.

JET POWERED has followed the lead of fellow sale graduates adding his name to the list of winners from the 2021 December Online Sale which now boasts 100 per cent winners to runners.

The bespoke sale grossed 940,000 guineas from six lots sold and attracted support from the top echelons of National Hunt and Point-to-Pointing spheres.

The 2022 Tattersalls December Online Sale will take place on the 14-15 of December and will attract a host of entries from both National Hunt and Flat fraternities.
