Catalogue Released for Inaugural Tattersalls Online Treo Eile Summer Sale 

The catalogue for the inaugural Tattersalls Online Treo Eile Summer Sale on 27^th – 28^th July has been published and is now available to view at www.tattersallsonline.com.

The innovative collaboration between Tattersalls Online and Treo Eile features six initial entries in the first sale dedicated to retrained thoroughbreds to be held on Europe’s leading thoroughbred online sales platform.  

Held alongside the Tattersalls Ireland July Show on 24^th – 26^th July, where the Tattersalls Ireland Treo Eile Showing Pathway Series Final also takes place, this boutique online sale has been created to showcase the quality, versatility and long-term potential of thoroughbreds beyond the racecourse while offering buyers greater confidence when purchasing a retired racehorse progressing through their second careers. 

To further support the long-term success of sale graduates, purchasers will be eligible for dedicated bonus schemes during the 2027 season. In Ireland, graduates can compete for a shared €5,000 bonus fund across five designated competitions, while eligible horses based in Great Britain will be able to compete for a shared £4,000 bonus across four Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) National Championship classes.

A perfect demonstration of the quality on offer comes in the form of seven-year-old mare SKY TEMPEST who has excelled in her second career. A winner of the Thoroughbred Performance Class at Ballyfoyle Agricultural Show last month, the daughter of CLOUDINGS also recorded a double clear round in the 1.10m showjumping class at the Warrington Equestrian Centre SJI and was formerly crowned the Showing Ireland Treo Eile Working Hunter Champion in 2024/2025.

Another notable entrant is SELKIE who recently placed third in the Treo Eile Thoroughbred EI105 at Millstreet International Horse Trials, having previously filled the same position in the Intermediate Thoroughbred Performance Class at last year’s Tattersalls Ireland July Show. The six-year-old mare has been clear in all her starts in Cross Country and has competed in the Open section of 2026 Stepping Stones to Success League, placing second overall.

Fellow sale entrant FLY RIGHT BY is a five-year-old son of JET AWAY who retired from the Irish point-to-point circuit earlier this year. Since beginning his retraining, he has finished runner-up in Treo Eile showing classes at both Raheendaw Horse and Pony Show and Gorey Agricultural Show and is qualified for the Novice Final at the upcoming Tattersalls Ireland July Show.

Also featured is SKYLANNA SCATMAN, previously placed twice in point-to-points, he has since gone on to win the Treo Eile Eventing League Ireland and qualify for the Balmoral Horse Show. 

The catalogue is completed by the promising pair ROSIER THE and TAUDENI who are both expected to compete in the coming weeks ahead of the sale.

The timed online auction will open for bidding at 12pm on Monday 27^th July and will close from 12pm on Tuesday 28^th July. Wildcard entries will be accepted until Monday 20^th July.
