The catalogue for the Tattersalls Online February Sale is out now and can be viewed at www.tattersallsonline.com. The 52 lot catalogue features 38 horses in and out of training from both Flat and National Hunt disciplines, three yearlings, three two-year-olds, three point-to-point entries and a trio of mares, as well as breeding rights to Darley’s promising young stallions PROFITABLE and RIBCHESTER.

French National Hunt trainer Hugo Merienne will offer an exciting opportunity to secure PETHER’S MOON filly PETITE AMADEE. The last start winner jumped impressively and led for most of the way when defeating her rivals at Cagnes-Sur-Mer on December 16th, posting a winning margin of three and a half lengths. The four-year-old filly is out of the STORMY RIVER mare NIGHT THUNDER who is a half-sister to dual Grade 1 winning chaser FOX NORTON. 

Another last start winner who should appeal to both Flat and National Hunt buyers is the Fences Farm consigned RENDITION, who fought off strong competition win at Wolverhampton on January 27th over two miles. The four-year-old ULYSSES filly is from the distinguished Meon Valley Stud family of BELLA COLORA, which features the Classic placed FRANCE and Group 2 Dante Stakes winner TELECASTER. RENDITION is out of the PIVOTAL mare PENNY LANE FOREVER, a half-sister to Group 3 winner ALESSANDRO VOLTA. 

Jamie Osbourne’s The Old Malthouse Stables will offer the exciting prospect NUTHATCH. The promising three-year-old EXPERT EYE filly sat off the speed before breaking through to defeat her rivals on only her second start at Chelsmford last week. She is a half-sister to the Listed performer SAVAANAH and is from the family of Group 1 winners JOYEUX DANSEUR, NOVERRE and ARAZI. 

The Tattersalls Online February Sale also features several smartly-bred fillies including BALLET BLANC who is out of the Listed placed OASIS DREAM mare BOUVARDIA, a half-sister to SHOWCASING and CAMACHO from a prolific Juddmonte family. Gavin Cromwell’s Danestown Stables will offer the DAWN APPROACH filly PEPSIWITHACAP, a two-time winner hailing from the Aga Khan’s famous Z family that includes the five-time Group 1 winner ZARKAVA and her exciting sire-son ZARAK. Bursea Lodge will offer RISHES BAAR, who placed fourth in the Group 3 Oh So Sharp Stakes at Newmarket and is out a half-sister to the Group 1 Prix Morny winner PRETTY POLLYANNA. Green Hedges Farm will offer the five-year-old mare HEART OF THE SUN by leading broodmare sire FASTNET ROCK, who is out of a half-sister to Group 1 Irish Derby winner TREASURE BEACH. 

The three yearlings to be offered include a colt by international Group 1 sire FASTNET ROCK, a half-brother to the Listed winning PEACHES from a family littered with blacktype who will be consigned by Mount Coote Stud. March Hill Stud also consign a filly by freshman sire SOUTHERN HILLS, while Richborough Stud will offer a colt by the same sire. The three point-to-point entries include MINI FORTUNE, runner up at Ballycrystal on her most recent start, who will be offered by Padraig Butler Racing. G.J.A. Racing will also offer SHOT TOWER who has had three runs to date highlighted by two third placings at his most recent starts. 

The catalogue also features entries from leading British and Irish trainers Ed Bethell, Rebecca Menzies, Joseph O’Brien, Michael Bell, Henry Spiller, Kevin Philippart de Foy, Tom Clover, Andrew Balding, Archie Watson and Eve Johnson Houghton. 

Prospective buyers are required to register or logon to join the sale ahead of the commencement of bidding from 12 noon, Wednesday 15th February. Bidding is scheduled to close from 12 noon on Thursday 16th February.
