The catalogue for the Tattersalls Online May 5th Sale has been published and can be viewed at www.tattersallsonline.com. A total of 13 lots have been entered in the sale which will be conducted on the Tattersalls Online platform. The sale boasts quality offerings by leading consignors from across the UK and Ireland, highlighted by a Breeding Right to Darley’s up and coming young sire PROFITABLE as well as a selection of both Flat and National Hunt racing and breeding prospects.

 

The breeding right on offer to the Group 1 King’s Stand winner PROFITABLE is sure to attract the interest of astute breeders. Now the sire of 36 winners, the brilliantly fast sprinter added another Stakes winner to his record last week with MIRAMAR landing an impressive victory in the Group 3 Prix Sigy at Chantilly. His Group/Listed winning progeny also include QUICK SUZY, winner of the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot, as well as Listed winners MR PROFESSOR and HEAD MISTRESS and Listed placed GLENGARRA, MITBAAHY and AZUL BAHIA. Godolphin will offer the well-bred filly TEODOLINA. With a career high rating of 90, this filly was a winner on two occasions and ran fourth in the Listed Montrose Stakes. The daughter of KODIAC is out of TEOFILO mare TEODELIGHT, the dam of three winners from three runners. This filly is a close relation to Group 3 winning and Group 1 placed GOVERNOR BROWN, dual Listed winner HATAAB, Royal Ascot winner SOUTHERN HILLS and New Zealand and Australian Group 1 winners SWORD OF OSMAN and ZAGALIA.

 

The Ballynure Park Stud consigned HAIR OF GOLD will be offered in foal to exciting young sire ALKUMAIT, the fastest ever winner of the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes. ALKUMAIT’s first crop are eligible for the €100,000 bonus on offer from Capital Bloodstock for the first two-year-old Stakes winner by the son of SHOWCASING, making this an appealing option for the online opportunists.

 

Jessica Harrington’s Commonstown Stables offer two lots in the sale. PAPA K is a lightly raced three-year-oldson of KODIAC out of the RAVEN’S PASS mare ALONSOA, herself fourth in the Group 3 Sweet Solera Stakes and a half-sister to dual Group 3 winner ALANZA out of the multiple Group/Grade 1 placed ALASHA. Also offered by the stable is the three-year-old colt BEGINISH by NEW APPROACH out of LA SUPERBA, a three-time winning half-sister to Group 2 Doncaster Cup winner THOMAS HOBSON from the family of Epsom Oaks winner TALENT.

 

Gainsborough Thoroughbreds will offer IMPERIAL CULT, a well-related son of SEA THE MOON out of American mare PROSERPINE, herself a daughter of European Champion mare SHIVA. IMPERIAL CULT has an impressive pedigree which includes European Champions ULYSSES and CLOTH OF STARS and American Champion MAIN SEQUENCE.

 

There are several race fillies sure to attract buyers including BELLARENA LADY, offered by Ed Dunlop Racing, who was a dual winner at two. Also in this category is the Kevin Philipart de Foy trained filly TIARE, a granddaughter of Grade 1 winner JADE. The Frankland Lodge consigned TOKEN TRADER is a three-year-old filly by MEHMAS out of EVIE BE KOOL, an own sister to multiple Group 2 winning and Group 1 placed KOOL COMPANY.

 

Amongst enticing National Hunt entries are Millstone Stables’ MILAN’S RUBY. She has had one start this season in a point-to-point and is out of a half-sister to Grade 1 winner and consistent Grade 2 placed performer OSCAR DAN DAN. Highly rated National Hunt mare FARNE is a Listed placed and Grade 2 fourth STOWAWAY mare consigned by Churn Stables.

Prospective purchasers are required to register or logon and join the sale ahead of the commencement of bidding, subject to approval by the Tattersalls accounts team.
