Breeding Right to Baaeed sells for £320,000 on Tattersalls Online

A breeding right to Shadwell’s outstanding six-time Group 1 winner BAAEED, offered in the Tattersalls Online October Sale, has subsequently been sold privately to NA Bloodstock for £320,000, equating to 304,762 guineas.

An exceptional racehorse, BAAEED retired unbeaten after ten starts, having established himself as one of the finest performers of his generation. His illustrious career included victories in the Group 1 Lockinge Stakes, Queen Anne Stakes, Sussex Stakes, Juddmonte International and Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, earning him the title of Cartier Horse of the Year in 2022 and recognition as the world’s highest-rated turf horse.

Demand for BAAEED’s progeny has continued to strengthen throughout 2026, reflected both in the sales ring and by sustained interest in breeding rights to the stallion. Now standing at Beech House Stud, BAAEED has made an impressive start to his stallion career, with his first crop including the Group 3 winners COAXED and CURRACLOE, the latter also placed in last week’s Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf. Meanwhile, yearlings by the Shadwell stallion have attracted considerable attention throughout Europe this year, with a top price of 425,000 guineas and an average of 131,766 guineas.

Bidding is currently live on Tattersalls Online for the Emirates Racing Authority November Online Sale, which closes on November 10th whilst the Tattersalls Online November Sale takes place on November 17th – 18th. Entries for the upcoming sale remain open until Friday 6th November with the full catalogue available to view from Wednesday 11th November.
