90 Lots Catalogued for Tattersalls Online October Sale

The catalogue for the Tattersalls Online October Sale has been published and features a record number of 90 entries for the online auction which takes place on 19th – 20th October. A wide range of lots are on offer from both Flat and National Hunt disciplines, including 55 horses in/out of training, 17 yearlings, 11 broodmares, three stores, a single point-to-point offering, a filly foal by TIRWANAKO and Breeding Rights to ALKUMAIT and CRACKSMAN. 

 

The 42 horses in training are headed by the classy two-year old BEAUTY THUNDER, who was a game winner of a Roscommon maiden in August. Consigned by Ger Lyon’s Glenburnie Stables, the colt is by NIGHT OF THUNDER and boasts a Timeform rating of 87. Another smart two-year old colt to feature is BLUE PRINCE who shed his maiden tag in impressive fashion at York in July and boasts a Timeform rating of 86. The son of leading first season sire BLUE POINT is consigned by Richard Fahey’s Musley Bank Stables on behalf of Rabbah Bloodstock Ltd, who are represented by three lots in the sale. 

 

There is recent winning form aplenty on offer highlighted by FIGHTER ALLEN, a half-brother to multiple Grade 1 winner ENVOI ALLEN. The four-time winner boasts his own high-class form following a third place in the Grade 3 Michael Purcell Memorial Novice Hurdle as well as finishing fourth at the highest level in the Grade 1 Scalp Novice Chase at Leopardstown. Other last start winners include FAYASEL, GOOSE ROCK and IF KARL’S BERG DID.

 

FINAL ESCAPE is sure to spark plenty of interest amongst potential National Hunt purchasers after her impressive bumper debut at Galway in September. Trained by Margaret Mullins, the four-year old daughter of SOLDIER OF FORTUNE found only a Willie Mullins hotpot too good on the day but looks sure to improve for the experience and boasts a pedigree to back it up as a half-sister to Grade 1 placed hurdler LAST ENCOUNTER.

 

Leading Irish Point-to-Point handler Colin Bowe returns to the online platform with last start winner EMILY’S CHOICE. The daughter of KALINISI was triumphant on her most recent start under Barry O’Neill at Castletown-Geoghegan on 1st October and presents an exciting prospect for buyers.

 

No fewer than 17 yearlings are on offer by both Flat and National Hunt stallions including the Norris Bloodstock consigned filly by MEHMAS out of a winning NOBLE MISSION mare. New Approach Investments present a colt by KUROSHIO from the family of Group 1 winner LADY BOWTHORPE, and Whitsbury Manor Stud consign two fillies by SERGEI PROKOFIEV whose first crop have been well received at the recent yearling sales. Colbert Stud offer a filly by EQTIDAAR who is out of a Listed-placed mare and a half-sister to four winners and other sires represented include ADVERTISE, BELARDO, FAR ABOVE, EXPERT EYE, MAXIOS, SCALO and TELESCOPE. 

 

There are plenty of exciting opportunities for Flat and National Hunt breeders with 11 broodmares set to go under the virtual hammer including NIGHT APPROACH, a young daughter of NEW APPROACH who hails from the ever-improving family of recent Listed winner MY PROSPERO. Another catalogued lot who makes plenty of appeal is VEDELA DREAM who is offered in foal to the reliable BUNGLE INTHEJUNGLE and is a close relation to last year’s Champion European three-year old VADENI.

 

Two Breeding Rights are on offer namely a Breeding Right to CRACKSMAN, sire of the outstanding Group 1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner ACE IMPACT, and a Breeding Right to Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes winner ALKUMAIT.

 

The bumper catalogue has received widespread support from 78 individual consignors from Britain, France and Ireland and includes drafts from top Flat and National Hunt trainers and consignors including Mick Appleby, Baroda Stud, Ralph Beckett, George Boughey, Jane Chapple-Hyam, Robert Cowell, Gavin Cromwell, Harry Eustace, Jessica Harrington, Ger Lyons, Willie Mullins, the National Stud, Ed Walker and Sir Mark Todd amongst others.
