90 Lots Catalogued for Tattersalls Online July Sale

The catalogue for the Tattersalls Online July Sale is now availble at www.tattersallsonline.com and features 90 lots comprising 74 horses in and out of training, six broodmares, five point-to-pointers, three stores, one yearling and a Breeding Right to VICTOR LUDORUM.

Heading a strong National Hunt offering is the progressive ENDLESS TALKING, consigned by Gavin Cromwell’s Danestown Stables. A 20-length winner of a maiden hurdle at Downpatrick in May, the five-year-old son of AFFINISEA demonstrated his versatility when victorious on his chasing debut at Tramore on his most recent start. Currently rated 122p over fences by Timeform, the promising prospect hails from the family of dual Grade 2 hurdle winner KILCOOLEY and Grade 1 Challow Hurdle winner BERUDE NOT TO.

National Hunt buyers are also well catered for by a quality contingent of five point-to-point entries. Amongst them is debut-placed four-year-old TOCA POCA from Pierce Power’s Galgystown Stables. The son of ORDER OF ST GEORGE put in an eye-catching display at Fairyhouse, making much of the running before being headed close to home to finish second. Meanwhile, John Paul Brennan’s Monasootha Stables consigns THREE ROCKS TRAIL, who placed on both starts to date, most recently finishing three lengths behind the winner in a competitive four-year-old maiden at Bartlemy.

Also on offer is five-year-old mare SING LIKE MADONNA from Paul Pierce’s Blackhall Stables who made an impressive winning debut at Tattersalls last month, whilst other notable entries include the four-time placed LEGEND DE TOUCHETE from James Walsh’s Preban Stables and PROUD AS PUNCH, a runner-up on his last two starts for Anthony Bustin.

Jessica Harrington’s Commonstown Stables returns with an attractive quartet headed by Listed placed SUSPICIOUS MINDZ. The Timeform 84-rated son of BATED BREATH is joined by Galway Festival maiden winner COLLECTING COIN and the unexposed three-year-olds MEDUSA KING and MOON AURA.

Wathnan Racing continues its support of Tattersalls Online with a pair of quality three-year-olds including UNDERWRITER, consigned by Archie Watson’s Iveagh Stables. The son of MEHMAS impressed when winning both a maiden and novice at Ayr last season before competing at several of Europe’s leading race meetings. Also being offered is the lightly raced TACTICAL FORMATION consigned by Richard and Peter Fahey’s Musley Banks Stables. Carrying a current BHA rating of 71, the son of STARMAN is a half-brother to dual Listed-placed sprinter BYZANTIUM.

Other highlights among the horses in training in the sale include:

  • Grade 3 hurdle winner BALLYBOW, one of two lots from Gordon Elliott’s Cullentra House Stables.
  • Revitalised sprinter SOMMELIER, an emphatic winner at The Curragh earlier this month.
  • Progressive three-year-old SPARKY SPARKY, runner-up in a competitive Cork maiden on his most recent start for trainer Johnny Murtagh.
  • Promising three-year-old filly VELVET VEGA, placed on both starts to date for John and Thady Gosden.
  • Last time out winners CLIPSHAM NOBLE, GREAT DREAM, JOHNNY RAMBO and VINGEGAARD.

Leading French consignors Haras de Beaumont present an attractive duo including the three-in-one package of broodmare BARKAA who is offered in foal to Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner ACE IMPACT with a colt foal at foot by the same sire, from his debut crop at stud. Winner of the Group 3 Prix Vanteaux, the daughter of SIYOUNI is a half-sister to four black type performers including multiple Listed winner MY OLD HUSBAND. She is offered alongside a yearling filly by ACE IMPACT who is out of Group 3 winner SHAHAH, herself the dam of Listed placed URSULY.

Elsewhere, Castlehyde Stud consigns COMPLY, a daughter of ST MARK’S BASILICA out of Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes winner ROSDHU QUEEN, offered in foal to Champion juvenile LITTLE BIG BEAR, whilst the Starfield Stud draft is led by dual Listed winner and multiple Group 3 placed TEOFILO mare FIREGLOW, offered in foal to DUBAWI LEGEND.

The three stores in the catalogue are by SEA THE MOON, ULYSSES and WALZERTAKT, whilst buyers are also offered the opportunity to invest in exciting young sire VICTOR LUDORUM, whose first crop has already produced black type performers COMMANDER’S INTENT and VICTOIRE MAGIQUE.
