Taking place on 6th – 7th May, the sale comprises 72 horses in and out of training, seven stores, three broodmares, two point-to-pointers and a breeding right to Overbury Stud’s proven Group 1 sire ARDAD. A star attraction of the catalogue is IHRB 103-rated SARACEN consigned by Joseph O’Brien’s Carriganog Racing. A winner on debut at The Curragh as a juvenile, the son of SIYOUNI went on to finish third in the Group 3 Greenham Stakes behind subsequent Group 2 winner JONQUIL with RASHABAR in second place, winner of the Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot on his next start. Leading Tattersalls Online consignor Willie Mullins’ Closutton Stables is represented by an attractive quartet in this month’s edition including Listed winner and Group 2 Doncaster Cup third HIPOP DE LOIRE. Also a winner over hurdles at the Galway Festival last summer, the son of AMERICAN POST boasts current IHRB ratings of 107 on the flat and 135 over hurdles. Joining him in the consignment are the Listed hurdle fourth placed CHOSEN WITNESS, talented dual-purpose prospect and Grade 2 placed PLONTIER as well as promising bumper performer LOOKING FOR EIGHT who has been placed on his only two starts. Fellow leading online consignor James Tate’s Jamesfield Stables offer five lots led by the Timeform 84-rated sprinter DANEH OF DANDY. A two-time winner last season, the three-year-old filly finished close up in Listed company and hails from the Group 1 family of Juddmonte’s blue hen HASILI. Also notable in the draft is reliable performer STANLEY SPENCER who carries a current BHA rating of 82 having won four times in his career to date. Other highlights among the horses in training include: DIRECTOR’S CUT, a winner over a mile on debut for trainer John Gosden and a half-brother to multiple Group 1 winner LIGHT INFANTRY. FAR FAR OUT, a three-year-old colt by KINGMAN out of a Listed placed mare who showed promise on debut at Newcastle earlier this month for trainer Roger Varian. MISS MALONE TO YOU, a lightly raced three-year-old filly who is a half-sister three black type performers including Group 1 stayer BIG ORANGE. The seven stores in the catalogue are by leading stallions such as FALCO, NATHANIEL and POET’S WORD and include the Clongiffen Stud-consigned filly out of Grade 2 placed chaser NOT FOR BURNING. Among the trio of broodmares on offer is NAVETTE, a daughter of Group 1 Nassau Stakes winner WINSILI whilst the sale also offers the opportunity to invest in a breeding right to proven Group 1 sire and leading source of two-year-old winners ARDAD.
