155 Lots Catalogued for Tattersalls Online October Sale

The catalogue for the Tattersalls Online October Sale has been published and is available to view at www.tattersallsonline.com. The sale which takes place on 22 – 23 October features 155 lots from Britain, Ireland and France including 110 horses in and out of training, 29 broodmares, 13 yearlings, two foals and one store.  

A highlight of the catalogue is this season’s prestigious Zetland Gold Cup winner LIBERTY COACH who boasts a current Timeform rating of 96. Consigned by John and Sean Quinn’s Bellwood Cottage Stables, the four-year-old son of LE HAVRE was an all-the-way winner of Redcar’s Class 2 feature handicap in May and has won on four occasions over 1m 2f on ground ranging from good to firm to soft.  

Jessica Harrington’s Commonstown Stables will offer a quartet led by recent six-furlong winner SLAUDEEN. The two-year-old son of STARSPANGLEDBANNER is out of an own sister to Group 1 Irish 2000 Guineas winner RODERIC O’CONNOR and holds a current IHRB rating of 89. He is accompanied in the draft by Tattersalls Online Breeze Up Session graduate and subsequent €120,000 Irish EBF Auction Series Race Final winner FIONA MACCOUL as well as the well-bred dual hurdles winner JERRARI.

Exciting three-year-old ARCTIC GREY is another feature lot in the sale consigned by Richard Hannon’s East Everleigh Stables. The lightly raced son of DARK ANGEL was victorious over a mile at Southwell and Goodwood this season and is being offered with an official rating of 86. Meanwhile, David Menuisier offers two-year-old colt ARCTIC WIND who was third over five furlongs on his most recent start and is a half-brother to Group 2 Celebration Stakes winner ICE MAX.

No less than ten last time out winners feature in the catalogue namely ART OF UNITY, DAIZEN, HARSWELL DANDY, KILKENNY WARRIOR, KIT GABRIEL, KOMORKIS, NAHASH, PESCATORIUS, SO CHIC and THE TRUANT.

Other highlights amongst the horses in training include:

• Kempton novice stakes winner DOSMAN who carries a current BHA rating of 91.

• High-class miler OLD COCK, a winner of a Class 2 handicap at York with an official BHA rating of 93

• BELLINI SPIRIT, a promising two-year-old filly who finished second in a maiden at Chelmsford last week.

• Juvenile filly TENAROSA, a half-sister to Group 1 winner TECHNICIAN who has had just one start to date 

A host of attractive breeding prospects and proven broodmares are also on offer including KYLLACHY LOOSE, the dam of Listed winner IFRACHY and Listed placed EXCEED LOOSE, and DUTCH SHADOW, a half-sister to Group 3 winners TITUS SHADOW and ORPEN SHADOW, who is offered in foal to leading first season sire A’ALI. 

Leading consignors Baroda Stud offer a trio of mares in foal to Ace Stud’s Champion Sprinter SHAQUILLE including WINTER MIST, a winning daughter of PINATUBO who is out of the dual Listed winner ON A CLOUD.

French-based mare SAMAHER, a half-sister to Group 1 Coronation Cup winner DEFOE, is being offered with a filly foal at foot by ROMANISED and is in foal to Group 1 winning sprinter WOODED. Broodmares are also being offered in foal to CATURRA, EL CABALLO, LEGENDS OF WAR, LOPE Y FERNANDEZ, PHOENIX OF SPAIN, SAXON WARRIOR, SHOULDVEBEENARING and UBETTABELIEVEIT.

Sires represented by the 13 yearlings in the sale include ARDAD, AUSTRALIA, COULSTY, DREAM AHEAD, GOLDEN HORN, SHOWCASING and ZOUSTAR whilst the two foals on offer are by BELARDO and CHARMING THOUGHT and the sole store offering is a well-bred two-year-old by THE GREY GATSBY. 

The Tattersalls Online October Sale has received widespread support from 98 individual consignors from Great Britain, Ireland and France including drafts from Alice Haynes, Andrew Balding, Bansha House Stables, Ben Brookhouse, Dylan Cunha, Ed Walker, Eddie Lynam, George Boughey, George Scott, Far Westfield Farm, Forenaghts Stud, James Owen, Harry Fry, Irish National Stud, James Ferguson, James Tate, John McConnell, Mark Loughnane, Michael Dods, Ralph Beckett, Rebecca Menzies, Richard Fahey, William Knight and Willie Mullins.
