123 Lots Catalogued for Tattersalls Online June Sale

The catalogue of 123 lots for the Tattersalls Online June Sale on 4th – 5th June is now available to view at www.tattersallsonline.com. Headlined by the Online Breeze Up Session, the online auction also includes 80 horses in and out of training, 4 yearlings, 2 stores, one broodmare, one point-to-pointer and a Breeding Right to Champion first season sire SERGEI PROKOFIEV. 

The Online Breeze Up Session which took place on the all-weather surface at Dundalk on Wednesday 28thMay features 34 exciting two-year-olds and the breeze up footage and official times for all lots are available on the Tattersalls Online website. 

Now in its third year, the Online Breeze Up Session has produced winners in Britain, Ireland, across Europe and the Gulf region led by last year’s top performer FIONA MACCOUL. Progeny by Group 1 sire COULSTY were again to the fore with a filly from Meadowview Stables and colt from Samore Bloodstock posting the quickest two-furlong times of the day. There are 21 individual sires represented in the session including proven Group/Grade 1 producers ARDAD, AWTAAD, COTAI GLORY, ELZAAM, KAMEKO, MACLEAN’S MUSIC and STARSPANGLEDBANNER as well as promising first season sires A’ALI, NANDO PARRADO, STARMAN, SUPREMACY and UBETTABELIEVEIT.

Willie Mullins’ Closutton Stables offer a draft of three lots highlighted by Grade 2 placed PAGGANE. The six-year-old mare by MUHAARAR boasts a current IHRB Chase rating of 143 and was recently runner up in the Listed Fair Maid of Perth Mares’ Chase in April. She is accompanied in the draft by Grade 3 Scottish Grand National runner-up KLARC KENT and the well-related Grade 2 placed SIR ARGUS. 

Among the flat performers in the sale is the 102 Timeform-rated sprinter KENDALL ROY from Katie McGivern’s Derryconnor Stud. The four-year-old by TWILIGHT SON enjoyed a fruitful campaign last season culminating in success in a Class 2 Handicap at Cork in July. Meanwhile, Marco Botti consigns a draft of three lots which includes the Listed placed SOMMELIER. 

Baroda Stud will offer a draft of four lots headlined by GLAMOUROUSLY GLAM. The three-year-old filly by PROFITABLE was only narrowly beaten a nose for second at the Curragh last Friday for trainer Jessica Harrington with a win looking imminent for the promising young filly. 

A Breeding Right to SERGEI PROKOFIEV presents breeders with a rare opportunity to share in the success of last year’s Champion first season sire. The Whitsbury Manor Stud resident is responsible for 42 winners to date led by dual Group 3 winner and Group 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint runner-up ARIZONA BLAZE, Listed National Stakes winner ENCHANTING EMPRESS and Group 3 placed MHALLY. 

The Kirtlington Park Stud consigned MISTY is catalogued in foal to SERGEI PROKOFIEV. By OASIS DREAM, she is out of the Listed winner CEILIDH HOUSE making her a half-sister to highly decorated dual Group 1 winner KINROSS.

Amongst the four yearlings on offer is a colt by NATHANIEL out of the Grade 2 hurdles placed mare MICKIE. Other sires represented include ADVERTISE, LAND FORCE and STATE OF REST whilst the two stores catalogued are by GENTLEWAVE and SUMBAL.

The Tattersalls Online June Sale has received widespread support from 83 individual consignors from Great Britain and Ireland including Avenue Sales, Bansha House Stables, Ralph Beckett, Michael Bell, Ed Bethell, Karl Burke, Consign Ltd, Richard Fahey, James Fanshawe, Charlie Fellowes, Eve Johnson Houghton, Jessica Harrington, Charlie Hills, Houghton Bloodstock, Richard Hughes, Martinstown Stud, Jamie Osborne, James Tate, Roger Varian and Ian Williams.
