102 Lots Catalogued for Tattersalls Online January Sale

Dual Group 3 winner and Group 2 placed mare LASTOTCHKA headlines the opening Tattersalls Online sale of 2026 scheduled to take place on Tuesday 20^th January to Wednesday 21^st January. The sale comprises 102 lots and features 70 horses in and out of training, 18 broodmares, 4 yearlings, 3 breeding rights, 3 two-year-olds, 3 stores and a share in exciting young sire BRADSELL. 

Campaigned globally during her glittering career on the racetrack, top-class mare LASTOTCHKA presents as an extremely attractive breeding prospect. Highlights of her career include Group 3 victories in the Prix Belle de Nuit and Prix Gladiateur, as well as winning the Listed Prix de Thiberville. She also placed twice in Group 2 company including finishing third to subsequent Group 1 winner SIMCA MILLE. Consigned by Ronald Rauscher as Agent, the daughter of MYBOYCHARLIE is out of dual winner MUTHLA and hails from the family of Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud winner LINDA’S LAD and Group 1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner RAIL LINK. 

Among the 70 horses in and out of training are a trio from Champion Trainer Willie Mullins’ Closutton Stables which includes 132 IHRB-rated hurdler CHARLUS. The five-year-old son of CHURCHILL was second over hurdles at Punchestown in December having also been in the frame at last year’s Galway Festival and previously placed second in Listed company in France at three. From the same consignment is the Listed placed hurdler OLYMPIC MAN, also a winner over fences and with a current IHRB hurdle rating of 132 and chase rating of 136.

Other highlights of the horses in training include:

Listed Tipperary Stakes placed three-year-old FRESH FADE from Ken Condon’s Osborne Lodge Stables.

The prolific MARIS ANGEL, a winner four times this all-weather season with a current Timeform rating of 87.

Twice-raced four-year-old JE SUIS CELEBRE, consigned by Ian Williams’ Dominion Stables, who was an eye-catching runner-up on his most recent start over 7 furlongs with a current Timeform rating of 79p.

Three-time winning sprinter STATE OF MADNESS, successful on his penultimate start at Newcastle last month for Charlie Clover.

A host of proven and potential broodmares are catalogued including the beautifully bred HOTAUGUSTNIGHT from The Glanvilles Stud. By CAMELOT, she is out of Listed placed FASTNET MIST making her a full sister to Listed placed and Group 1 Epsom Derby fourth DEIRA MILE. Also a close relation to Group 1 Epsom Derby runner up AMBIENTE FRIENDLY, the six-year-old mare is being offered in-foal to Darley’s exciting young sire PINATUBO.

GLIMMER OF LIGHT is another well-bred mare featuring in the sale who is a half-sister to dual Listed winner GREATWOOD and out of a winning half-sister to Group 1 Irish Derby winner FAME AND GLORY. There are also several mares sure to prove popular among national hunt breeders including Grade 2 placed hurdler KALAHARI QUEEN, consigned by Alne Park Stud and offered in-foal to Group 1 Ascot Gold Cup winner SUBJECTIVIST. 

With the breeding season fast approaching, the sale provides rare opportunities to invest in some exciting young stallions including a breeding right to Group 1 sire SPACE BLUES as well as breeding rights to A’ALI and EL CABALLO, whilst a 1/20^th stallion share in European champion sprinter BRADSELL is also catalogued.

Sires represented by four yearlings in the sale include LOPE Y FERNANDEZ, SOLDIER’S CALL, SUBJECTIVIST and UBETTABELIEVEIT. Meanwhile, the three two-year-olds are by INNS OF COURT, LOPE Y FERNANDEZ and TIME TEST whilst the three stores on offer include a filly by CRYSTAL OCEAN and geldings by BATHYRHON and SIOUX NATION.
