American Belle Heads 195 Lots Catalogued for Tattersalls Online September Sale

The full catalogue for the Tattersalls Online September Sale has now been published at www.tattersallsonline.com and features 195 lots comprising 150 horses in and out of training, 31 broodmares, 7 yearlings, 2 foals, one store and Breeding Rights to CATURRA, LOPE Y FERNANDEZ, PALACE PIER and VICTOR LUDORUM.

The sale is headlined by AMERICAN BELLE, a half-sister to the world’s joint highest-rated racehorse OMBUDSMAN, offered in foal to Juddmonte’s Group 1 winning freshman sire LEAD ARTIST. The daughter of STARSPANGLEDBANNER is out of DANSILI mare SYNDICATE, herself a half-sister to Group 3 winner RUNNYMEDE and dual Listed winner and Group 2 placed STIPULATE.

This month’s catalogue features a strong selection of attractive breeding prospects including SUMMER BREEZE, a five-year-old mare by international sire sensation TOO DARN HOT, consigned by Élevage des Trois Rivieres. She is out of dual Group 3 winner and multiple Group 1 placed SIYOUNI mare SIYOUSHAKE and is being offered in foal to SIOUX NATION. 

Rathbran House Stud consign SIRYA STAR, a half-sister to Group 2 winner and Group 1 French 2000 Guineas runner-up ISAAC SHELBY, whose yearling filly by NEW BAY recently realised £85,000. She is one of two mares in the sale being offered in foal to Ballylinch Stud’s sensational young sire BAYSIDE BOY. 

Blue Diamond Stud offer CRISTIELLE, a half-sister to Group 2 winner ALJAZZI and offered in foal to dual Group 1 winning Champion two-year-old VANDEEK whilst Annaca Bloodstock’s draft of two lots includes the Listed winning hurdler SEA SESSIONS, who is offered in foal to Coolmore’s three-time Group 1 winner LOS ANGELES.

The 150 horses in and out of training include a number of proven prospects and progressive young performers. High-class miler JOLLY ROGER is one of five lots from Simon and Ed Crisford’s Gainsborough Stables. The son of DARK ANGEL won a Kempton novice race as a two-year-old and progressed to finish a narrow runner-up in a valuable handicap at Meydan last winter. 

Baroda Stud offers the largest consignment in the sale with 15 lots on behalf of Ace Stud, comprising 10 horses in training and five broodmares. The draft is highlighted by IHRB 92-rated two-year-old FULL VOLUME, a maiden winner over a mile at Bellewstown in July who subsequently finished second to the useful VENETIAN POWER. 

A pair of high-class performers are on offer on behalf of Wathnan Racing. SKIPPER, a three-time winner in Britain and Qatar, most recently landed a Class 3 handicap at Redcar in April, while WICKED, a half-brother to Group 1 winners ST MARK’S BASILICA and MAGNA GRECIA, was a winner at Sandown last year and has been campaigned in France this season. 

Following on from success at the recent Tattersalls Online Barrier Trials Pop-Up Sale, Diego Dias consigns another ITM Barrier Trial-winner in WAYSONG. The two-year-old colt by PERSIAN FORCE put in a stylish performance to win a six-furlong trial at Leopardstown on 26^th August.

• EASTERN QUEEN, a last-start winner of a two-year-old maiden at Chepstow for trainer John O’Donoghue. 
• BE MY FORTUNE, scorer an eye-catching victory of a Ballinrobe maiden hurdle in August for owner Virginia Considine.
• Progressive placed bumper performers BELLAHILL and TIGER IN NEW YORK.
• Altenbach Bloodstock’s trio of lots featuring an unraced filly by SEA THE STARS, a half-sister to Group 2 winner WALDERBE.

The catalogue also provides breeders the opportunity to invest in a host of stallions via breeding rights on offer to promising young sires CATURRA, LOPE Y FERNANDEZ, PALACE PIER and VICTOR LUDORUM.

The pair of foals in the sale are by EL CABALLO and LOPE Y FERNANDEZ whilst the sole store on offer is consigned by the French based Snowdrop Stud Company, a two-year-old filly by leading middle-distance sire THE GREY GATSBY and from the family of Group 1 Prix de Diane winner STAR OF SEVILLE.
