Half-Sister to Ombudsman Announced for Tattersalls Online September Sale

AMERICAN BELLE, a half-sister to the four-time Group 1 winner OMBUDSMAN, will be offered in the upcoming Tattersalls Online September Sale on 15^th – 16^th September.

The six-year-old mare hails from an elite bloodline headed by OMBUDSMAN, the joint top-ranked horse in the global ratings. The son of NIGHT OF THUNDER has recorded nine career victories to date, including the Group 1 Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot in 2025 and 2026, the Group 1 Juddmonte International at York and the Group 1 Dubai Turf at Meydan.

A dual winner over seven furlongs, AMERICAN BELLE is by STARSPANGLEDBANNER and is out of the winning DANSILI mare SYNDICATE, herself a full sister to Group 3 Premio Carlo Vittadini winner RUNNYMEDE, and dual Listed winner and Group 2 placed STIPULATE. 

AMERICAN BELLE is also a half-sister to exciting three-year-old SYNCHRONICITY, a full-sister to OMBUDSMAN who made an impressive winning debut over seven furlongs at Newbury in April for Ed Walker and TBT Racing. Adding further momentum to the pedigree is two-year-old half-sister SYNDICALE, a daughter of TEN SOVEREIGNS who won on debut in July and placed second at Haydock last month and who holds an entry in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes. 

The attractive young mare is being offered in foal to LEAD ARTIST, Juddmonte’s Group 1 winning son of DUBAWI, by Mount Farm Stud on behalf of BBP Racing. She has a foal by Champion miler and five-time Group 1 winner MODERN GAMES and a yearling by Royal Ascot Group 1 producing sire MASSAAT.
