68 Lots Catalogued for Tattersalls Online April Sale

The catalogue for the Tattersalls Online April Sale has been published with 68 lots set to go under the virtual hammer on Wednesday 8^th April – Thursday 9^th April. The catalogue is now available to view at www.tattersallsonline.com and includes 58 horses in and out of training, five broodmares, three yearlings, one store filly and one point-to-pointer.

TULLYHILL is one of a trio of exciting prospects consigned Willie Mullins’ Closutton Stables. The son of MARTALINE boasts exceptional form and a current IHRB chase rating of 140. Having finished second in the Grade 1 Punchestown Champion I.N.H. Flat Race, he made a successful transition to hurdles, including victory in the Listed Sheila Bourke Novice Hurdle, before being sent off favourite for the Grade 1 Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. Alongside him in the draft are the Listed placed stayer PAPPANO and GORVITHO, a lightly raced son of NO RISK AT ALL.  

Martyn Meade Racing offer talented three-year-old maiden winner POLITELY. The daughter of ADVERTISE won by an impressive five lengths over a mile at Lingfield two weeks ago, recording a fast time in the process. From the family of Meade’s Group 2 winner EMINENT, POLITELY was assigned a BHA rating of 80 following her recent success.

Ian Williams’ Dominion Racing Stables consigns the largest draft in the sale with nine lots catalogued. Amongst them are Timeform 85-rated four-year-old UNITING. The son of MEHMAS placed third over a mile on his most recent start and has been consistent over that distance with two previous wins. Also featuring is promising three-year-old ONE AND GONE who is being offered with a current Timeform rating of 83. 

Two lots are being offered on behalf of Wathnan Racing including five-furlong novice winner FORTIFICATION who boasts a current BHA rating of 80, consigned by Archie Watson’s Iveagh. Meanwhile three-year-old filly CERELIA is being offered by Willam Haggas’ Somerville Lodge. Having placed twice from three starts, the promising daughter of WOOTTON BASSETT is out of a half-sister to dual Group 1 winner SILASOL. 

Other highlights of the horses in training section include:

• Dual winning three-year-old SILVER STATE from Jack Channon’s West Ilsley Stables.

• Debut winner ELECTORAL COLLEGE, a beautifully bred daughter of WAR FRONT consigned by James Ferguson Racing.

• Jim Boyle-trained filly DANDY KHAN, a five-time winner this all-weather season

• Three last time out winners in FARASI LANE, LATIN and maiden hurdle winner ISABELLA ISLAY.

Among the five broodmares catalogued is the highly-decorated NATIONS ALEXANDER from Mountarmstrong Stud. Winner of the Group 3 Sweet Solera Stakes, the daughter of DARK ANGEL also finished third in the Group 2 Duchess of Cambridge Stakes. Already the dam of two winners, her two-year-old filly to run by STATE OF REST was bought for €85,000 as a yearling by Rabbah Bloodstock.

The single store on offer is a well-bred filly by in-form sire WELL CHOSEN, sire of two Grade 1 winners at this year’s Cheltenham Festival. She is out of SAUCY YEATS who is herself a full sister to Grade 1 Irish Gold Cup winner CONFLATED and half-sister to multiple Grade 1 placed ORDINARY WORLD. 

Baroda Stud consign the three yearlings in the sale featuring colts by LUCKY VEGA and ARIZONA.
