An impressive winner over five furlongs on debut at Redcar two weeks prior to the sale for trainer Jack Morland and owners Derek Lovatt and Colin Bacon, the daughter of COTAI GLORY was offered by EMW Equine with entries in both the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes and the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot. A spokesman for the winning purchaser said after the sale: “When you miss one chance, you sometimes get a better chance. She was one of the fastest horses at the breeze ups but she was, unfortunately, unlucky with the ground there. She won very well at Redcar and we were really impressed with her run. She will remain in training with Jack Morland now and we are delighted to take our Royal Ascot chance with her. We are confident with the team she is with. They have done an excellent job with her so far and we are very happy to secure her today and, hopefully, she will be the quickest again next Wednesday.” Trained by rising Newmarket talent Jack Morland, MISS YECHANCE was a £32,000 yearling purchase for EMW Equine before going unsold at £48,000 at the breeze up sales earlier in the spring. With Royal Ascot aspirations ignited following her debut win at Redcar, connections elected to offer the filly on the Tattersalls Online platform and duly reaped the rewards. Elaborating on the filly’s journey, a delighted Ellie Whitaker from consignor EMW Equine said: “I’m ecstatic. I am lucky to have two very good owners in Derek Lovatt and Colin Bacon who have believed in not only me but in my team and most importantly in the filly. Unfortunately, things did not fall into place at the breeze ups but we’ve always had faith in her and she repaid us by winning as she did on debut. It’s a big relief but I believe she will progress into a very nice filly and she will only get better. I wish her new connections the very best of luck.” Speaking about the decision of selling via Tattersalls Online, Whitaker added: “Tattersalls have been fantastic with promoting the sale. It’s been a really easy journey. Usually you are packing all the gear up and travelling to the sales but it has been very straightforward from the get-go. A big thank you to the Tattersalls Online team.” The next sale to take place on the Tattersalls Online platform will be the Online July Sale on 1st – 2nd July. Entries for the Online July Sale will be accepted until Friday 20th June and can be made through the Tattersalls Online website at www.tattersallsonline.com.
