The unexposed son of Group 1 sire TASLEET justified strong market favouritism to win the Class 2 British Stallion Studs EBF Restricted Novice Stakes for trainer Diego Dias under Silvestre De Sousa. After breaking sharply from the stalls, the colt raced prominently before taking the lead at halfway and fighting off a challenge in the final furlong to win going away by a head. Having had only three career starts to date, after being placed third at Dundalk on 12th April, the juvenile colt has demonstrated his Royal Ascot potential with a current Timeform rating of 80+.
A graduate of last year’s Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale, BROSAY was purchased for 25,000 guineas by a partnership of Star Bloodstock, Byron Rogers and Diego Dias. He is the first foal out of the unraced IVAWOOD mare HATTYTOWN who in turn is a half-sister to Group 3-placed two-year-old BLOOD MOON.
