83 Lots Catalogued for Tattersalls Online May Sale

A quality selection of 83 Lots have been catalogued for the Tattersalls Online May Sale on 8 – 9 May which is now available to view at www.tattersallsonline.com. The sale includes 68 horses in and out of training, 8 broodmares, 5 yearlings and 2 stores.

 

A highlight of the horses in training catalogued is the 97 rated flat performer SIERRA BLANCA, who is being offered by Manton Park Racing. A winner over a mile at two, the son of NO NAY NEVER placed third in the Group 3 Killavullan Stakes at Leopardstown. Out of Champion three-year old filly and dual Classic winner ALEXANDROVA, the four-year old colt is also a half-brother to Group winners SOMEHOW, ALEX MY BOY and HAPPEN. 

 

Having broken several records in the April Online Sale, Baroda Stud return to the platform with another attractive draft of nine lots led by the 87-rated filly COMPLETED. The three-year old daughter of NIGHT OF THUNDER was an impressive scorer over a mile at Lingfield in December and finished a close second in handicap company over the same distance at Southwell last month. Four yearlings in the draft include a filly by proven Group 1 sire CAMELOT out of a half-sister to multiple Grade 1 placed SOLDIER RISING as well as progeny of MENDELSSOHN, SIOUX NATION and VICTOR LUDORUM. 

 

A trio of lots are being offered on behalf of Rabbah Bloodstock Ltd. which include CEDAR CREEK, a three-year-old son of FRANKEL out of a daughter of Champion Group 1 winner SHIVA, DESERT ZONE, a son of KODIAC who is a half-brother to Lister winner DADOOZDART and MONO RIVER, a three-year old son of ZARAK who is a half-brother to Group 3 winner QUEEN OF BERMUDA.

 

Powerstown Stud consign a draft of two lots including a yearling colt by the exciting young sire SEA THE MOON. Out of the Listed race winning mare ENJOY THE LIFE, the April-born colt is a full brother to Listed winner and Group 3 placed ENJOY THE MOON as well as being a half-brother to Group 1 IDEE Deutsches Derby runner-up ENJOY VIJAY and Grade 2 Fairyhouse Juvenile Hurdle winner ENJOY THE DREAM.

 

Eight broodmares are set to go under the virtual hammer including Group 2 Lowther Stakes third MAMBA NOIRE, also consigned by Powerstown Stud. By top-class stallion WOOTTON BASSETT, she hails from the family of emerging sire SOLDIER’S CALL. Mares are also offered in foal with coverings to exciting young stallions COTAI GLORY, EL CABALLO, LUCKY VEGA and NANDO PARRADO. 

 

There are two stores on offer including a three-year old filly consigned by Park Wood Stud out of Grade 1 Punchestown Champion 4YO Hurdle winning mare UNITED. By DOYEN, the sire of Grade 1 winners BANBRIDGE, BATTLEOVERDOYEN and BEACON EDGE, the filly is a half-sister to a pair of bumper and hurdles winners as well as a winner over fences.
