Henrys Joy has run with plenty of promise in two starts in the competitive four-year-old division on the point-to-point circuit to date. The homebred son of Craigsteel, stayed-on strongly under his novice rider on debut at Ballinaboola, but lost nothing in defeat finishing third behind the Gigginstown House Stud-owned DORYDALIS, a €56,000 store purchase at the Tattersalls Derby sale. FROZEN FLAME who finished in second in that contest, was purchased for £145,000 at the Tattersalls Cheltenham sale last month, highlighting the confidence the market has in the strength of that form. Out of Shocona, the four-year-old demonstrated improvement for that initial outing, when finishing second at Tinahely behind the very impressive RAPID ESCAPE who is to be offered for sale as Lot 9 in the Tattersalls Ireland Cheltenham Festival Sale. Having raced in mid-division, he picked up smartly in the closing stages, losing little in defeat. This progressive sort is likely to keep improving with each visit to the track and this promising looking youngster won't remain a maiden for long.
